Jump Numbers
Fall 2016 Mobile AppsThe Snortles once lived happily at the base of their volcano, but when it exploded they were thrown into the sea. In Jump Numbers, children rescue Snortles and get to shore by jumping sequentially from one number to the next while avoiding obstacles like Stompers and fuses. There are six environments to explore: Summer Sea, Lava Lake, Dark Shade, Boulder Bay, Arctic Expanse, and Fungal Gulch. Each environment has multiple levels and there are 141 Snortles in need of rescue.
The app progresses in difficulty from counting by 1s and 2s up through counting by 12s. Furthermore, sometimes the numbers next in sequence are missing and have to be created by combining two or three number bubbles. Never fear though, wrong number combinations can be pulled apart. This is a fun way to teach and hone addition skills, skip counting, beginning multiplication, and problem-solving.
Purchase includes unlimited accounts; this goes hand-in-hand with the app's adaptive difficulty. The game's difficulty "level" is customized to individual players so they are challenged just enough to remain engaged but not frustrated. And, should a player get stuck, the Hint button is available on every page.
Warning, this game may prove addictive; once you jump in, it's going to be hard to jump out!
