In Dohdles: the game of Dough + Riddles, players sculpt objects (or "dohdles") that they hope will stump their competitors just a little -- but not too much! On each player's turn, he or she tries to advance the knowledge about another player's object without giving too much away to other players; clue tokens on the board indicate whether a player can ask up to two yes/no questions about the object or can ask for a letter in the word that identifies the object. At any time, any player on the board can guess at an object; correct answers move the player (and possibly the sculptor, if the difficulty was just right) forward on the board, but incorrect answers earn a penalty for the guesser. The one closest to the end of the board when the objects are all guessed is declared the Dohdle Master.

Dohdles definitely encourages creativity and problem solving. The biggest challenge is getting the level of design right; in play we had a learning curve to find the sweet spot to stump others even beyond the first level of questions, but developed the skill over time. It's a game that is more fun with a larger group: there is a wider range of difficulty and more competition for solving the puzzles. Like charades, this game can be played with infinite variations, perfect for a family game night or a party.
