Old Macdonald Family Band
Fall 2014 MusicOld MacDonald Family Band, features such catchy originals as the sweet tale of pet ownership in "My Doggie Goes. . . .," the silly rocker "Stink Bug," and the Bo Diddley-esque "Let's Go." There's an energetic ode to Fall in "Autumn Leaves Are Everywhere," the good time, country-rock title track, and a lovely instrumental called "Star Spangled Melody." Currier and company also turn in some interesting interpretations of traditional material, such as a bluesy rendition of "Apples and Bananas," a rock-a-billy version of "Shoo Fly (with Egg Shakers)," a cool Ska treatment of "Six Little Ducks" and a Springsteen-like take on "This Little Light of Mine. Guest musicians Johnny Neel, Skip Dennenberg, Simon Illa, and Marc Moss join in the fun.
