Aoede "What Are Dreams Made Of?"

Fall 2013 Storytelling
Ages: 11 & Up
Producer: Aoede
CD Price: $15.00

Lisa Sniderman, aka Aoede, (pronounced A-E-D) has just released her second CD for older children and teens called What Are Dreams Made Of? This hybrid of storytelling, musical theatre and song tells the tale of Aoede the Muse's adventures in the magical kingdom of Wonderhaven. Aoede has a bad dream, children go missing, and Aoede has to explore both the overland and underworld where she meets magical characters including fairies, goblins and dream gods.

Sniderman and her talented troupe of singers, character voices and musicians gallantly travel through this ambitious undertaking. Listeners will recognize when some of Sniderman's characters borrow traits from the greats who have gone before—Yoda, Gollum and Dobby, for example. The Dream Sequence reminded some of the playful and witty dialogue from Luc Besson's The Fifth Element. We applaud the creative effort and hope that Sniderman will work to further hone her structure story and develop her characters to carry on in future fantasy adventures.
