The Heartlake Dog Show toy is a 183 piece building and play set in the new LEGO Friends series. It features one LEGO Friend, Mia, her two puppies, a brightly colored runway and podium, a puppy obstacle course and lots of fun accessories for hours of creative and imaginative play. The set, which can be enjoyed alone or in conjunction with other Lego sets of the same or different series, is great for a variety of developmental skills including, but not limited to: sequencing, fine motor movement, hand-eye coordination, patience and following of instructions. Though some parents objected to the set's girly design, which discouraged boys from playing with it along with their sisters, girls did still enjoy playing with it. Even though the set is branded differently than other LEGO sets, the building possibilities with this set are still endless. Creations can be designed in any way a child imagines.
