Fall 2012 GamesEquilogic: The Magic Square Game is a collection of forty-eight puzzles in which players must use deductive reasoning to discover the Magic Square. The game includes forty-eight Magic Square puzzles, sixty-nine number tiles, a solution book and rules. One or two players use three simple rules to determine the puzzle's solution: columns, rows and diagonals must have equal totals; the board's center value must be one third of the Magic Number; and, all three colors appear once in every row or column. The fastest player wins. Practicing "math facts" can be tedious and boring for children, and, getting them to do it can be challenging for parents. The solution is to turn the mundane task into something interesting and fun. This game hones mathematic skills and deductive reasoning as well as important social skills such as cooperative play and good sportsmanship.
