Review:

Most parents of young children will recognize the Highlights name from their own childhood. Plenty of familiar themes have remained as relevant now as they were when this magazine originated - That's Silly, Hunt for Shapes, and Hidden Pictures. With more than 35 pages in each issue this magazine, a version aimed toward younger readers, is packed with enough activities, stories and games to last until the next issue. My younger toddler looked for my assistance with every page and does not pick it up on his own, but older preschoolers might be able to enjoy this alone as well as with an adult.
