What are Reader Rabbit and Sam the Lion up to now? Their Dreamship has been attacked by pirates, and they have been marooned on Mt. Cheeseopolitan Island! They must find a way to return to their Dreamship, which has crashed on nearby Cheesemore Island. In order to return to the Dreamship, players have to help hovercraft pilot and insect expert Professor Heathormen fix his hovercraft and complete his insect work. The game features mini-games that teach key second grade skills such as Language Arts, Science, Problem Solving, Creative Exploration and Expression. All of these activities can be completed in English, French or Spanish (set via Wii console). Game levels include: Cheese Brick Spelling, Insect Builder Science, Cheddar Cheese Equations, Fondue Falls Vocabulary, Cheese Mine Number Patterns, Pirate Maze Reading and Time and Final Duel Fractions.

Each mini-game features multiple, easy-to-change difficulty levels to add to the variety and diversity of game-play. Cut-scene video clips are interspersed with the activities to keep children interested and engaged. The game also includes an interactive, illustrated map for navigating through the various games and activities.
