Playmobil makes some of the most high quality play sets on the market, and the Playmobil School is no exception. This two-story building contains hundreds of small-scale details: desks, books, chalkboards and chalk, art supplies, musical instruments, backpacks and lunchboxes, even coffee for the teachers and juice for the students. There is a wide range of student and teacher figures for pretend play. Older testers enjoyed helping to construct the building and stock it with furniture and props; younger ones spent many hours in imaginative play with the characters, constructing elaborate pretend school situations and playing out the relationships among students and with their teachers. The set also invites children to gather Playmobil figures from other sets and sent them to school as well. The price on the set is substantial, but it is well worth the investment.
