When two young boys pull a toy shark and a toy train out of opposite sides of the toy box, the playful battles begin.

Shark and train cheerfully join the fray as comic characters that take over the pages in outlandish and hilarious competitions. And with each inventive contest, there is a winner. Shark is better at eating pies and bowling, for example, and train is better at roasting marshmallows and burping.

But as the challenges increase, in absurdity and difficulty, shark and train reach the conclusion that the competition is getting out of hand - two small hands to be exact.

With a turquoise shark and a lavender-and-gray train, the characters are large and funny. The premise is highly original but realistically based on the world of children's imaginative play which can be quite ferocious if one listens carefully.
