Village Sim
Fall 2005 SoftwareVillage Sims runs in real-time, so when the palmtop computer is turned off, or when another application is running, the game continues in the background. Care must be taken to provide the villagers with sufficient food for their needs. If nutrition needs are ignored, players will find only skeletons or tombstones when the game is re-activated. Mercifully, the game can be paused so that it does not advance when the Palm is not in use.
Although simulation games have been around in one format or another for decades, this offering stands out in the crowd. The graphics, music, and sound effects are exceptionally good. Instructions are clear and play is easy, even for 6 year olds.
Village Sims is a reasonably priced, fun, and engaging game that appeals to a wide age group. Players looking for good, continuous, simulation game to play on handheld devices will want to add this to their collection.
