Review:
The Pepins and their kindly neighbor, Mr. Bradshaw, are plagued with a series of unusual problems. Toads in their shoes and what their dinner guests will do without eating utensils are just two among many.
When each chapter ends with one of the Pepins’ predicaments, the author seeks advice from her readers for resolutions. The solutions arrive from various locations around the United States, such as Shaft Ox Corner, Delaware or Plentywood, Montana "where they don't believe in prepositions." Both problems and solutions are ludicrous fun; the book proceeds in fits and starts through an enormous amount of absurdity.
